NEW! Submit a FILM for “Dance is All Around Us” Film Contest

The NCDA invites the North Carolina dance community to honor NC Dance Day with “Dance is All Around Us” short films.  We are accepting film submissions of short site-specific dance works from April 1 - 25, 2014.

Short films can be submitted by dancers, choreographers, teachers and creative movers from across North Carolina. Interested participants can upload their own short works to Vimeo and NCDA will “like” and repost eligible films on the NCDA Vimeo channel.

All uploaded film works will be viewable by the public and the public can view and vote for their top films. The Top 5 fan favorite films will be announced and featured on NCDA social media on North Carolina Dance Day (April 26.) All film works are to be themed around the specific place where they are recorded and must be recorded in North Carolina. Through these dance films, North Carolina can see a visual representation of dance happening around the state, “all around us.”
